Service 07/08 — Managed Hosting & Colocation

Hosted. Hardened.
Handled.

Your sites and apps on Linux infrastructure we build and babysit — or your hardware in a real datacenter with our name on the pager. Either way, it’s our problem now.

The problem/

Shared hosting was fine. Until it wasn’t.

Your site crawls when someone else’s newsletter goes out. Your app lives on a server nobody patches. And that box humming in the closet? It’s one power blip from a very bad week. The moment customers touch your systems, hosting is mission-critical — and right now, nobody’s on the hook.

The fix/

A name on the pager.

Managed hosting: your sites and apps on Linux infrastructure we build, harden, monitor, patch, and back up — SSL handled, uptime watched, room to grow. Managed colocation: your hardware in a real datacenter, racked, networked, and watched by us. Your stack. Our problem.

01/

What’s in the rack.

Linux, Built Right

Your sites and apps on Linux infrastructure we build and harden ourselves. No mystery shared boxes.

Patching & Hardening

Kernels, packages, and configs kept current and locked down. Boring on purpose.

Uptime Monitoring

Every host and service watched around the clock. If something blinks, we know before you do.

Backups That Restore

Automated, encrypted, and actually test-restored. Disaster recovery, not disaster hope.

SSL & DNS Handled

Certificates issued, renewed, and never expired on a Saturday. Domains and DNS managed too.

Room to Grow

Start small, scale when the business does. Capacity planning is our job, not your surprise.

Colocation & Remote Hands

Your hardware in a real datacenter: racking, networking, power, monitoring, lifecycle, and remote hands when it matters.

Home for Our Builds

Software we build for you runs best on infrastructure we run for you. One team. Zero finger-pointing.

On-prem. Hybrid. Cloud. Pick three.

Hosting and colocation complete the stack: keep the POS on site, push the books to the cloud, and run your apps on our racks. We specialize in all three — no ideology, just what fits.

We call you. Not the other way around.

24/7 monitoring sees it before you feel it: the failing drive, the dying battery backup, the rack running hot, the outage that just started. The first you hear of a problem is us calling with the fix already moving — not your customers calling to say the site’s down.

02/

Who it’s for.

Outgrowing Shared Hosting

Your site got serious. Your $9-a-month host didn’t. Get real infrastructure with a real human watching it.

Compliance & Data Locality

You need to know exactly where your data lives and who can touch it. We can point at the rack.

Server Owners, Tired Ones

You own the hardware. You don’t want the headaches — power, cooling, networking, 2 a.m. alerts. Hand it over.

Straight answers.

What’s the difference between managed hosting and colocation?

Managed hosting: our infrastructure, your sites and apps — we build it, harden it, and run it. Colocation: your hardware, our datacenter — we rack it, network it, and keep it alive. Both come with the same deal: we monitor it, we manage it, and when something breaks, it’s our problem.

Do you only host software you built?

No — though it’s the natural home for anything we build for you. We also host websites, web apps, databases, and line-of-business tools built by others. If it runs on Linux, we’ll harden a home for it and stand behind it.

What happens when something goes down at 2 a.m.?

Our monitoring pages us, not you. Most issues are fixed before anyone notices, and anything bigger follows a documented recovery plan with tested backups behind it. You find out what happened in plain English the next morning — usually past tense.

Can we move from our current host without downtime?

That’s the goal every time. We stage your site or app on our infrastructure, test it side by side with the original, then cut DNS over during off-hours. Visitors never know it happened — they just notice things got faster.

Why not just use a big cloud provider?

Sometimes you should — we build hybrid and cloud setups too, and we’ll say so when it fits. But for most small businesses, our managed hosting means flat, predictable monthly pricing for running what you’ve got — migrations, buildouts, and big upgrades are projects, quoted up front before we touch anything — and a Rochester phone number instead of a support ticket into the void.

How long is the contract?

One year to start. Talk to us if you need different. Most hosting and colocation engagements begin with a one-year agreement — we’re open to other terms if that’s what makes it work for you.
