How is this different from hiring a contractor?

Our people come vetted, managed, and backed by the whole Develop Gravity bench. If your embedded engineer hits a problem outside their lane, the rest of our team is behind them. No recruiting fees, no gamble on a stranger from a job board.

What’s the minimum engagement?

Engagements start at a few weeks. We’ll be honest in the first call — if your project is too small to embed someone, we’ll point you at a better-fit service like custom software or a one-off consulting engagement.

Do your people work on-site or remote?

Either, or both. On-site anywhere within about three hours of Rush, NY (just south of Rochester), plus the Adirondacks. Remote works statewide, and most teams settle into a hybrid rhythm after the first couple weeks.

What skills can you actually provide?

Web and application development, internal tools, databases, networking, cloud and on-prem infrastructure, security hardening, and day-to-day IT support. If we don’t have the right person, we say so — we don’t bluff seats.

What if the fit isn’t working?

Tell us and we fix it — usually by swapping in a different engineer within days. Engagements run month-to-month after the initial term, so you’re never trapped paying for a bad match.
